General Information
University acceptance
Annually, the vast majority of students who complete the Diploma Programme move on to further and higher education. Diploma Programme students who have performed well in examinations and have earned the IB Diploma expect universities and colleges to recognize this achievement.
Although many universities around the world have their own recognition policies, they also often have various benefits for the IB students. Some universities keep positions open especially for the IB students and some allow acceleration credits if a certain level has been achieved in the IB.
Since the IB will send official reports on the students’ final grades directly to the universities, students have to fill in the University Choice form available from the IB Coordinator and submit it to the Coordinator at the beginning of the 2nd IB year.
