06.03.2016
A traditional National Public Speaking Competition sponsored by English Speaking Union took place on March 3 in Tallinn School No. 21. There were 42 participants from different Estonian schools.
Elisabeth Alla and Theo Mägi from Audentes IB School took part in the competition. Elisabeth delivered her speech on the topic „Talent versus experiment’ and the title of her speech was ‘Is creativity more friend with talent or experience“.
Theo Mägi made a speech on the topic „We know what we are, but know not what we may be“ and he titled his speech „A risk worth taking“. Theo’s speech was a great success from the very beginning. He won the place in semi-final, where he had to present an impromptu speech ‘An over-examined life is one not lived’. Both Theo’s performances were excellent and he was qualified as a finalist among 6 best speakers.
The winner of the competition was Teele Rebane from International School. Theo Mägi was awarded with the cup „The Favourite of Audience“.
Congratulations, Theo!
