IB students from Finland and Estonia busted science myths
29.04.2013
On 25th and 26th of April, Audentes School’s (Estonia) and Etelä Tapiolan Lukio (Finland) IB students came together to do the science project called Group 4 project. The Group 4 project is a collaborative activity where students from different science areas work together on a scientific or technological topic.
Over two days, students from two schools collaborated to prepare projects inspired by the popular television show Mythbusters. They developed a hypothesis, put it to the test by collecting data and came to a final conclusion. The whole process was then presented to the other groups. Among others, students explored how music affects blood pressure, if sleep deprevation slows down sudoku solving speed and if energy drinks are efficient stimulants.
